race 1 Â Â average clarity
5  American Art  seems like a good snatch at the claiming box of a horse on the rebound.......sure took to the new Dmr dirt in his 1st run on it......T C Baze is up and Baze looked great riding yesterday
1  Indian Nate  exits the same fast heat as our top choice......nice recent work since his last especially considering he raced just 16 days ago.....seems likely to fire a strong for level effort once again
4  Moonlight Meeting  good effort in latest somewhat disguised by running wide up on the pace........tries to handle a dirt route for the 1st time and that is a dangerous thing when Richard Baltas is the trainer
2  China Girl Lover  lone lifetime race on conventional dirt is very strong.......away from racing for a year but working well enough to be ready......and returns with a jock upgrade
race 2 Â Â average clarity
5  Tester  last 3 races fit well here.......faced better in latest......trainer Phil D'Amato wins his fair share dropping a given horse as he showed in yesterday's nightcap
1  Warren's Rail Bird  big awakening (and a very big number) seemingly out of nowhere......repeat ????? of the effort can take this
2  Noble Kent  takes a massive drop down.......tough to know if he is still healthy enough to run at today's much lower level......but sure is dangerous if he is
7  Ransom Canyon  moved forward some in last his 2nd lifetime conventional dirt race.......will need another move forward today......trainer has had a red-hot week
race 3 Â Â below average clarity
5  Rockin Robin  back to Baze who easily has gotten the most out of this Glatt runner........seems well spotted in this three year old 50K claimer
7  Dynamite Ride  three-year old gelding seems best taking back some......hope that is the plan here 1st out following the V Garcia claim.....Garcia is very dangerous 1st out following a claim ( 7 for his last 21)
2  Global Magician  seems likely to get a nice ground saving trip on or near the lead.....would have rated higher if M Garcia wasn't riding so cold
3  Nutty Futty   invader winds up with Freeman who seems to be improving as a conditioner of race horses........three year old colt owns some back numbers that would handle these
Long-shot consideration:  6  Rocker  2 wins and a 2nd in 3 turf route in 2015........toughest level of his life but I believe he is feeling awfully good off of two good works of 6F and 5F spaced only 5 days apart
race 4 Â Â average clarity
2  Yes Yes Baroness  last was a strong fig/effort........filly has won 3 of her last 4 sprints and is 3 for 3 up for a tag of $30K or less.....$25K claimer here
3  Can Can Babe  claimed 8 weeks ago but has stayed in training since......1st time blinkers on seems smart as the filly appears to love the front end
8  Mothernaturespell  filly can go eye to eye and still compete well.......few can.......seems to like starting from outside posts.......and obviously gets one here
5  Hold Me Fast  won mc debut like a good thing.....claimed by Miller......needs more today .........has the right to improve especially following a claim by one of S Cal's top trainers
race 5 Â Â average clarity
5  Look Me In The Eye  bet hard in MSW debut and ran fairly well displaying some strong early speed......likely has to be caught here and caught with Bejarano in control
2  Lucky Patrick  Richie Baltas 1st timer seems well prepared for his MSW debut and he might show some good early speed off of a solid 3F gate work just 3 days ago
7  Tengas Ransom  good MSW debut.....might need a little more today and has the right to provide it with a race under his belt......trainer seems to have snapped out of the doldrums finally
8  Captain Akers  has fired decently in all three lifetime races......rated this low mainly because the extra 1/2 furlong appears as if it well flatten him out some
race 6 Â Â average clarity
7  Sweet Spell  away for 16+ months but if she returns ready she should be a ton to handle as she ran a very strong effort in her 2nd lifetime start.......showed she can run fresh as she was a 2 1/4L debut winner
4  Sensitively  away 4 months but that might be a plus as she won her MSW debut by 9+ lengths.........1st on the green carpet but bred OK for it and has a good grass trainer
1  Lamontagne  two wins and a 2nd in 3 grass sprint races in N.Y.........lack of impressive a.m. work is the main reason she is placed this low
9  Tale Of Papa Nick  cut back in distance seems like a plus for this speed grass filly who has had the lead at the 5F mark of all four of her lifetime grass races which were at 6 1/2F or one mile
race 7 Â Â average clarity
2  Oh Great Idea  Miller appears to have a good one here.....1ster sports multiple impressive gate works signaling she is pointed to be ready to win at 1st asking
10  Shakti  another 1st timer trainer solidly......and she finished off her regiment with a flourish popping a best of 66 bullet drill at Dmr last week
4  One Last Shot  ice-cold rider/trainer combo but this Baffert 1st timer sure appears ready to rock and roll in her MSW debut
3  Forever Darling  not impossible 1ster off of some decent works.....like the fact she only cost $8K and yet draws Bejarano and Baltas starts her at the MSW level
race 8 Â Â above average clarity
1  Beholder  7 for 8 at the distance.........6 for 7 with Stevens........some overwhelming stats for sure......not to metion an exceptional work tab
4  Warren's Veneda  Grade One winner will be waiting in the wings if the "Queen" gets up on the wrong side of the bed today
8  Thegirlinthatsong  seems to be working the best of her life and that is a dangerous proposition when Hollendorfer is the trainer
2  Honey Ride  best of what is left
race 9 Â Â average clarity
7  Perfect Set  good history with today's rider aboard.....last is strong and fits just fine at today's loftier level.....very impressive 3 solid works put in since her last......rather sure this fellow is up to another strong race
8  Smooth Roller  powerful MSW debut and it was at a tough distance for a 1st timer....that being 7F.........3 good drills since in preparation for his 1st at a route which he is bred well to handle......might be a good one
6 Â Downtown C T Â very dangerous speed horse especially if the track plays like it has the last couple of days
4  Seeking The West  seems very ready off of the extended layoff for Ellis and company........does tend to hang
Long-shot consideration:  2  Short Heat Wave  not totally out of this if he brings his "a game"......recent works hint he might
race 10 Â Â average clarity
8  Lamaan  2nd lifetime start (on the grass at 1 mile) is strong and somewhat disguised.......gelded since and blinkers on.........cold jock off (Triple Crown Hangover?) hot jock up......seems well meant for 3rd lifetime endeavor
7  Dylan Ward  good grass horse is very consistent but so far doesn't understand what winning is all about.........away since Nov but seems ready and ready for a trainer who might be able to rid him of his bad habit of hanging.......we shall see
3  Elegant Street  good sprint turf debut......gets a significant rider upgrade........bred fine to get the eight panels of green
4  Second Summer  lone grass race was run in 2nd lifetime start and is decent.........so you would think 2nd out after a layoff will lead to a strong effort today
1  Rosicky  blinkers off seems like a good move as his best ever was is lone dirt route without blinkers,,,,,1st on the lawn with below average pedigree for it or would have rated much higher
5  Mixio  decent turf route pedigree.....works hint he might be ready at 1st asking
