Never crazy as most of you know about rain in the forecast and/or moisture in the racing surfaces. Things get funky too often. And it makes studying a card quite confusing.

6  Fast Magoo  only race at 7F is one of his best efforts career..........has only earned chump change in 2015 so the drop sure makes sense.........off track (if it occurs) is a ? mark as it is for many today if the rain does come
4  Priviledged One  laid up since Feb but draws Bejarano and working as if she is ready.....like her pedigree to handle off going
2  Nazareth  had a bad trip on a "gd" track at Del Mar 2 back losing about 7L because of her trip.....did awfully well to snatch 3rd.......recent works are improved similar to how they looked prior to the gd track effort
race 2 Â Â way below average clarity
6  And Then Some  tepid top choice exits the faster of two heats with a wide trip.....did decently to run 4th in the race which was his MC debut......works since strongly hint at better this afternoon
1  Record Highs  beat our top choice (his debut as well) but he was bet awfully hard (went off as the favorite) ........might not have as much upside in his 2nd start
3  Brolazza  went off 29 to 1 in a 7 horse field in his MSW debut and ran 3rd.......those odds hint he needed the race and the race wasn't too bad........and today he gets a change in jocks to Bejarano
7  Tough It Out  horrid start in his MSW debut and then showed some life.......good trainer to get things right today in start #2
race 3 Â Â average clarity
1 Â Unforgettable U Â monster run 2nd time out since Baltas took over and the drills since suggests she has remained very sharp and is up for another powerful effort
5  Taris  ( 6 5 1 0) lifetime sprinting and seemingly owns the best early gas in the field........won debut on a good rated surface at Aqu by double digits......so she also has that going for her if the track takes on moisture
race 4   average clarity  (if off the turf  8-2-6-1)
5  Unusualy  sure owns a good pedigree for a Cal-bred to appreciate the 1 1/8th distance......blinkers off today........I believe to take back like she did in her race 3 back which was quite good
8  At Ease  decent debut with a wide trip.......very powerful race in 2nd lifetime start running a close 3rd despite a very wide trip.....would have been top choice if I wasn't concerned about her developing bad habits........as in running wide
2  Nooten  should get good position close up and likely save ground.......bit concerned about the distance.....might flatten late
6  Heat  nice grass pedigree.......mom has tossed some nice Stakes winners.......needs an awakening
race 5 Â Â average clarity
4  Cordiality  takes that ever dangerous somewhat magical drop out of MSW racing to maiden claiming for her 2nd lifetime start........par like effort in last and expecting more today
5  Red Stitch  should be very fit endurance wise coming off of two MSW route turf races......drops into MC and hits the dirt for the 1st time as well as sprinting for the 1st time........good recent works ......should be a major player
7  Tiz Pleasant   improving sort catches the eye of Bejarano's agent ........and 1st time Bejarano for a small outfit is often a dangerous thing
2  Twopercentisgolden  1st timer has a few impressive drills at GD and finished up with 3 consecutive gate drills.......might be meant and ready
race 6   average clarity   (if off the turf  4-9-2-8)
8  John's Success  training well enough to be ready fresh off of the bench.....both lifetime grass races are solid for today's level and somewhat hidden by bad trips......put up for a $80K claiming tag in 2014 so being up for another high-priced claiming tag doesn't bother me much
4  Highway Boss   seems like a good claim by Palma and friends of an improving three-year old......and the works since Palma snatched at the claiming box are impressive......as is his history 1st out following a claim
2  Bandido Too  blew an easy lead 1st on the sod.....but.....the works since hint the grass muscled him up and a better effort should occur today
5  Peaceluvpeaceluv  like his pedigree to handle a turf course that likely will be less than firm
race 7 Â Â average clarity
8  Matriculate  likes SA.....doesn't like Dmr......shows in the mornings as well.....1st time gelding today and a very strong work series for someone like Bill Spawr........trainer/rider are 2 for 2 as a combo the last two months
1  Hye I'm Jack  2 for 2 at six panels when the jock doesn't fall off........very strong race 2 back.....has handled the 1 post quite well in the past
3  Tough Sunday  puts in plenty of effort but has been compromised by some brutal trips......might be at his best at SA
2  Signature Cat  sharp near bullet 5/8ths drill one week ago...... good history turf to dirt and a good history 2nd out after a layoff......gets both today.....such a deal
race 8   average clarity  (if off the turf  5-3-7-6)
7  Home Journey   best credentials down the SA hill and not too much early speed in the race....... and she has plenty.....likely will have to be caught and caught with Bejarano in the saddle
4  Chaulk O Lattey  seemingly never any sharper and very consistent.....should sit fairly close up (likely 2nd or 3rd) in a race that I believe will hold together for those close to the front end
2  Velvet Mesquite  might have slipped a little but if she hasn't she should also sit close and try to catch our top choice in the stretch
3  Kiss At Midnight  vastly improved since Richie Baltas took over the training duties.....when have we heard that before.........not impossible if she takes to the sod in her 1st run on it
race 9 Â Â average clarity
7  Nine Point Nine  trainer historically speaking is stout 1st time at a route and MSW to MC.......gets both today.......owns good speed in this spot......and very good recent works.......a superfecta of goodies
5  Kellianne Can Can  filly has a good pedigree to handle a route and handle an off track.....and takes that ever dangerous drop out of MSW racing to MC
1  Mc Hottie  rebounding some in last 1st time with blinkers......drops a notch for her 1st at a route......jock upgrade.....can sit close......seems to fit fairly well here
2  Feeling Talkative  race two back fits fine and back to the jock who was aboard that day.......so so pedigree to handle a route of ground
6  Joan of Arch  turf route fit is likely a plus.....as is a touch of early speed.....the rider choice is not
8  Run Brione Run  some life in debut.....OK route pedigree but not crazy about her pedigree to handle an off track if that is what we get
