Santa Anita for Friday 23 October 2015
Look for quite the bargain (for a few days only) for purchase of full card selections for day two only of the Breeders Cup at Keeneland on Saturday October 31st at a 30% discount or a cost of $24.50. That breaks down to less than $2 a race.
For the most part I sure like the ML on our top choice all day long. Will we get that or better? I have my doubts.

race 1 Â Â average clarity
3  L's Choice  vastly improved with the addition of blinkers in last.......red hot trainer.....red hot rider.......and especially so together
4  Gold Treasure  consistent sort.....nice effort 1st ever at a route in last.......seems likely to be a major player here
5  Gunslinger  seems likely to get a nice stalk position in the race.......runs as a 1st time gelding today......so potentially he might improve today
race 2 Â Â above average clarity
2  Never Ends  major rebound in last.......very impressive filly last winter........good history back in short rest which is the case here
1  Gloryzapper  done nothing wrong winning both of her lifetime races......away for two months but working like she is returning 100% ready to roll in her 1st ever at a route
race 3 Â Â below average clarity
4  Says So  need to lead type sure seems loose here.....like her 35:4 work 4 days ago.....sharpened speed......1 for 2 on the hill
1  Intoxicating Move  very consistent late runner on the hill........should be flying late especially if there turns out to be more pace up front than anticipated
6  Not Too Shabby  2 for 5 down the hill......trip play here in that she seems likely to sit in a nice stalk position and get 1st crack at our top choice
race 4 Â Â above average clarity
8  Mor Spirit  made a power move into a fast pace running inside on a dull rail day......did "eye popping" well to run 2nd......3 reassuring works since.......1st at a route but owns a solid pedigree for one.......should be a ton if he gets a good trip
1  Urlacher   seems set up for today with two solid lifetime sprints and now a route......and Harty is rather decent 1st time long
4  Nightly News  has the obvious advantage of routing in both lifetime races.......last was OK but what we want is his debut
2  Wise Tale  MSW sprint route gimme (and a good one at that).....full throttle go at a route today .......should be prominent from the get go
race 5 Â Â average clarity
3  Soresca  improved since blinkers on especially at one mile.......last at one claiming level higher sure fits here and is somewhat hidden by a wide trip
2  Zanbo  good ground saving stalk position behind two suspect speed horses.......that and Bejarano up makes this mare the most likely to get good trip in the field
8  Agustina Aragon  2nd out after the Baltas claim.......maybe back too quick 1st out after the claim......plenty of time to get more out of his new shooter and the works support the notion
7  With a Twist  significant step up 1st following the D'Amato claim but she sure loves the one mile turf distance (7 5 1 1)......fits fine if the solid turf conditioner improves her
race 6 Â Â below average clarity
2  My Grandson  solid improvement in last and hidden some........improved work since........been facing older and better........can sit close up and with the hot 7 lbs bug boy up
5  Classic Gent  alarming drop off of a win......but with Peter Miller that doesn't necessarily mean for a toss out.......3 for his last 8 dropping after a win and with 4 others in the money
7  Kenjiislucky  likes contact with the front end and can get it here.....like the rider switch especially with a horse sitting up close
3  Kluszewski  massive drop might wake-up....bug boy is only 1 for 42.....gets a bone here?......or a mount that is shot?....we shall see
Long-shot consideration:  6  Frat Boy  loose on a dull rail in latest hides a decent route race......1 for 2 at 7F......dangerous cut back in distance......can sit close in a race that seems like it should be favorable to those that do

10  Hobbits Hero  seems like a good claim by Baltas who sure appears to have his new shooter sharp off of a prolonged work regiment.....gelding is 3 for 4 at one mile on the sod....and draws the meets top gun
3  Street Maven  blinkers back on and drops.......away since mid August but training as if O"Neill is all bizz and he needs to be as he will likely lose this 5 yr old by way of a claim this afternoon
9  Back to Bako  very good history running back in 4 weeks or less........26 days since his last and his last wasn't bad
2  Anythingscookin  the obvious dangerous speed in the race and with a hot 7 lbs bug boy up

7  Flowinwiththebreez  returns off of a long layoff with a.m. work that says he is looking to graduate.....and the drop of multiple levels doesn't hurt either.....hang on 1 for 43 in 2015 bug boy
4  Kiss My Face  whole career on the dirt (4 races) fits well here......rider upgrade to boot....trainer is in go mode
2  Bolt Up  laid up since Jan when he debuted in a MSW.......takes the plunge top to bottom today........plenty of furlongs put in.....seems likely to finish well
9  Seaward Cottage  dangerous speed type and with Bejarano at the controls
6  Sailor's Cry  interesting cut back in distance......1st time with blinkers when sprinting on "fast" rated dirt......interesting price shot
