OK card this afternoon. Saturday's is loaded with quality. The kind of card that I enjoy handicapping.

race 1    average clarity

1  Family Code   last three races are all better than par for today's level and his effort two back is particularly strong and it was the only time today's rider T C Baze was up

4  Viviendo El Sueno   last was better than appears in print.......lone win came in his MSW debut......so.......10 weeks off with a solid work regiment might be a good thing.......and over the last 2 months when Holledorfer puts Solis up his stock has been "live"

5  Turn Your Eyes  improving sort and he broke his MSW by 14L but was greatly aided by a strong rail/speed bias.......still.......he graduated with a fourteen length win.....very dangerous

 

race 2    average clarity

4  Too Fast to Pass   very solid history running 5 or 5 1/2 furlongs on the turf or the dirt.........powerful work tab and a trainer who know how to win races.......good out of the gate

5  Second Proposal   Eric Kruljac enters his five-year old for $35K to get an additional 2 lbs off for a total of 6 lbs less than the gelding had to carry in a 3rd place finish at one claiming level higher......seems well meant today

7  Royal Banker   big effort two back winning despite being rather wide and moving early into a solid 1/2 mile.........shuffled back in last so wasn't able to make the same early move......believe he will be more forwardly placed than most will think which he will need to be in a 5F affair

5  Mackenzies Moment    laid up since May but cuts maiden claiming price in 1/2 and is training as if he is fully ready for her return to the race wars......and O'Neill can do no wrong of late

1  Flowinwiththebreez   decent layoff run in last......major league rider upgrade for today........another hot trainer at the helm in D'Amato

9  Bolt Up   another with a decent effort off an extended hiatus from the game.......but seems a little less likely to move forward as both the rider and the trainer haven't exactly been tearing things up the last few months

8  Hayyouwaitforme

 

race 4    average clarity

4  Holograeme   last wasn't bad but what we want is his effort two back........a strong race at today's distance somewhat disguised by too wide of a trip......trainer is hot enhancing our chances of getting it

11  Dreamologist   beautifully bred filly owns brilliant two turn turf speed and looks loose and dangerous here for R Mandella and company

1  Hundi   27 to 1 for a decent GB invader strongly suggests the race was a gimme and that a full throttle go will occur today 1st time with Callaghan as the listed trainer

9  Tiz a Kiss  

Long-shot consideration:   2  Evo Compo   seems likely to get a nice ground saving stalking trip at least thru turn........same post as her winning last and today she has 4 lbs less to carry.......and the trainer has been firing on all cylinders (albeit with limited starters) for the last couple of months or so

4  Amberella   both lifetime racing endeavors fit here.....same rider - trainer - and an improved recent work tab.......easy to pick on top

3  Scathmeifyoucan   owns stellar early speed and seems to appreciate shorter rest.......poor effort off of 9 weeks rest in last.......four weeks rest this go around......dangerous gate to wire contender

7  Flexible Ethics   has shown some life in all three races since Mulhall took over the training duties .........cut back in distance is a plus......especially for a speed horse that likely needs to stalk today

2  Katina Kowgirl

4  Illuminant   appreciates ample time between starts and gets it........appears to be the controlling speed in the race and that is a dangerous proposition when Rafael Bejarano is the rider

1  Augustina de Aragon    nice works since her winning last hints she exited the race in good shape........just like last time she seems likely to get a nice ground saving mid pack position

2  Lookin for Money    might be a nice claim by Hess of a young developing filly.......appreciated the 1 1/16th distance which was the furthest she has competed to date......good post and 8 1/2 furlongs of grass once again......dangerous

5  Barbara Beatrice

5  She's a Warrior   filly might have surprised her connections in her MSW debut to some degree as she out ran her 25 to 1 odds in a big way......might not have been all that cranked up for 1st start......lookout if the is the case for start no. 2 today

3  Old Hollywood   copious furlongs put into this Hollendofer 1st starter over the last seven weeks ..........which should help her finish well at 6 1/2 F in her debut.......Jerry H is very dangerous with young debuting fillies

4  Candy Boss   another conditioner who is quite good with two-year old filly 1st timers..........showing both speed and endurance in her drills.........Sadler is in danger of being win-less at the meet......might keep that monkey off his back with a win here

1  Lunar Empress

 

race 8    above average clarity

3  Bal a Bali   given a confidence builder in last.....continues to work like a happy healthy Stakes horse........a gaudy 13 for 16 on the grass with many Graded wins albeit in Brazil.......good post and retains Bejarano who should help get the most out of her

8  Alert Bay   has never missed the board in a turf route and has been "right there" in every grass race she has run......2 for 2 at today's turf distance.....good grass rider Mario Guttierrez gets the call

4  Seek Again   lethal trainer/jockey combination in Mott/Lezcano ship in......ran awfully well vs some very tough foes in her last two endeavors ( Grand Arch - The Pizza Man - and others).....not out of this by any means

5  Avanzare

 

race 9    below average clarity

1  Passionate Emotion    both lifetime races are better than anyone in this field has ever run.......good stretch run in last........so......extra 1/2 furlong today is likely a positive

4  Feeling Talkative   both lifetime races with the blinkers off at Dmr are decent.........and a nice 3 work series in preparation for today hints this Palma contestant might fire her best ever

11  Ten Dollar Note   decent MC debut at 45 to 1.........and the drop in start nimber two doesn't bother me much as she only went for $3K at sale........definitely has the right to move forward
