Los Alamitos for Saturday 5 December 2015
So so race card (at best) for Saturday. Be back with you on Sunday (which is a good looking card) to finish off week one at the Los Alamitos thoroughbred winter meeting.

1  Geistreitar   solid wake-up in latest in her 2nd lifetime start and the effort is hidden some........broke slowly and rushed some to grab the lead.......decent shot to be loose on the lead here with only the 5 horse to put away
3  Warren's Purrfect  best of the late runners.....multiple points of trouble in her last gave her little shot to strut her stuff......likely will be closing fast late
4  Bijoux  seems like now or never for this Sadler (ice-cold at Del Mar) runner dropping to the very bottom S Cal MC level......1st on the dirt is a ? mark following five consecutive grass races to start her career
race 2 Â Â below average clarity
4  Frac Candy  two for two since the blinkers became part of his equipment .......and he owns a solid pedigree to handle a dirt route.......Miller is off to a good start at the new meeting
5  Semper Fortis  solid win in latest to graduate from the maiden ranks......little shot to show what she can do in lone route endeavor as she ran way too wide to have a shot
race 3 Â Â average clarity
5  Casino Fever  solid debut despite disappointing as the 1 to 1 favorite......broke slightly tardy and pressed a decent pace to fade very late......Baffert is stout 2nd out with beaten MSW debuting favorites
1  Azure Dream  also bet to favorite in MSW debut and in her case she tossed a clunker.......continues to train like she is a good one.......and hopefully not a "morning-glory" type
4  Sharpest One  seems best at Lrc and seems best with Aragon in the saddle......gets both today

2  Swiss Cheese  race profile seems to set up for this consistent off pace runner who ran his best ever the only time she competed at today's 5 1/2 furlongs
4  Cougar Country  consistent since the blinkers were put back on 3 races back......and the cut back in distance appears to be a plus as it should keep him from flattening out late as he has done in his last 3 races which were at 6 or 6 1/2F
3  Ultimate Luck  consistent sort on fast rated conventional dirt...... and his last win came 4 races back in a 5 1/2F affair at Lrc

7  Uninvited  on the improve with each and every start and two solid preparatory works for today hint this Bob Baffert runner pops his very best today
3  Kionntal  exits a very fast heat where being a 10 beaten lengths 4th worked out to be a decent MSW debut..... 1st at a route for 2nd lifetime start.......owns a good pedigree to handle the distance and his trainer is better than average 1st at a route
2  Let's Meet in Rio  bad starts from the metal monster in both lifetime startes......needs to break the habit today and handle his 1st ever around two turns......right trainer to gets things fixed in Hall of Fame trainer Bob Baffert

4  Upbeat Tempo  all 5 lifetime starts on the main track fit well for at today's mdn 20K level.......and he sure appears well prepared in the a.m. with a prolonged work regiment with both speed and endurance put into him for his return to the race wars
6  Red Toro  dangerous when he grabs the lead......seems to have enough early speed here to do just that.........especially.......... with stout gate jock in Maldonado up
8  Magie Moon  not much to date in 3 lifetime races.....but....Baffert gives him plenty of time off and has put copious drills into him in the meantime.......wake-up call today on the drop

Long-shot consideration:  7  I'm a Keeper Too   nowheresville in two lifetime starts......but.....blinkers on for today and vastly improved recent works......major form reversal might be in the cards for today.....Baze is up and the veteran jock had a field day yesterday with 3 wins and a 2nd

4  Cause Your My Babe  seems best at the distance and best on conventional dirt........and 1st time with Rosemary Trela as the trainer might be a good thing as she is 6 for 17 for the year
6  Private Terrace  needs a rebound and might provide one as this three-year old filly is 2 for 2 on the Lrc surface and only 1 for 9 on other surfaces

5  Patriotic Diamond   2 of last 3 racing endeavors are better than by par (and by quite a bit)  for today's level for this nice two-year old filly.......1st at a route but bred to handle the added distance and draws Mike Smith in his only mount on the card
1  Baby Bea Scattin  broke her MSW on the dirt in her debut........brutal trip in a turf route in latest.......did well to only get beat be 7L.....meanwhile....... she showed she can handle a route......dangerous
3  Roo's Valentine  on the right end of the learning curve and has a good shot at getting loose on the lead.......and if she does get loose.................she..................might.....................go...............................all............................the.................................way

8  Swiss Missile  take note of the major jock upgrade:  F Perez is up today not M Perez like last time.......and blinkers off for this afternoon seems like a wise move as this colt ran best when he took back some
