race 1 Â Â average clarity
6  Vibe  lifetime best was the lone time this colt was up for a tag......the strength of the effort is somewhat disguised........up for a tag today.......stout brother team at the helm.......dealing with only 6 days rest is a concern
5  Sorry Erik  another who preformed his lifetime best and with his lone lifetime win the only time he ran in a claimer.......very nice looking 3 straight 6F works at LA in preparation for today........seems very well-meant
1  Northern Grey   seemingly the most dangerous speed horse in the field will likely need to put away the 2 and the 3 early to go wire to wire as he did to graduate in his latest in only his 2nd lifetime start and 1st at a route
race 2 Â Â average clarity
2  Tinian   ran fairly well in her 1st ever around two turns off of 2 months rest........2 1/2 months rest today and with a much more impressive work tab.........believe she can produce her lifetime best and if she does she appears to be the one to beat
5  Latino Mo  moved forward the only two times she raced sprint to route.....that is the case today.......NOTE IF THE TRACK IS OFF TO SOME DEGREE:  she ran well with moisture in the SA dirt in her last race which was run just a week ago
1  Yumiko's Strike  woke up in latest some and the "wake-up" is somewhat hidden.........and today we go from a very low percentage trainer to a high one.......seems dangerous

7  Molly's Honor  when Jack Carava uses Prat his horses are almost always very live......lone lifetime race down the majestic Santa Anita hill turf course is par like......should be in the mix from the get go
3  C. C. Zipp   filly seems like the speed of the speed and she is 1 for 1 on the SA hill......stout rider and trainer combo in Smith and Hollendorfer......and it seems significant that Mr. Money shows up for only mount on the card
2  Sweet Dragon Fly  not much in her lone race in the USA but she was placed against too tough and it was her career 1st running at a distance.......good history in GB sprinting on the turf.....might be up to her overseas form/ability......fits if she is
4 Â Wealthy Shipman
race 4 Â Â below average clarity
1  Bar Scene  broke a little slow and rushed into a fast pace and still nearly graduated.......earned an adjusted Santucci fig (for her break and the rush into a stout pace) that sure stands out here......but I am concerned the start could be a problem again because of the 1 post......that concern contributed to the "below average clarity" rating
5  Wanda's Touch  the D'A appears to be waking-up from the doldrums and that awakening might continue here as the two drills since this girl's last are improved .........and Prat jumps aboard after being absent for one race
7  Merrily Merrily  nice improvement in her 2nd lifetime endeavor and if she manages another move in the desired direction she should be a major factor in the outcome of this race

4  Mannerly  last fits but what we want is her MSW debut run 2 back........it was a solid number and with solid pace.......most likely to grab the lead and with the leading rider to start the meeting in Prat aboard
3  Dominating Woman  very nice MSW debut running 2nd despite a slow start and running a little wide.......impressive 6F drill at Slr since.......same or better seem likely especially as hot as Miller is these days
1  Delightful Lady   very brutal trip in her MSW debut (very green) losing about 14 lengths and that was the margin she was behind the winner.....will need to settle down a ton but lookout if she does
5 Â Laser

9  Born to Be Winner  seems like a good pick-up for O'Neill of a turf filly who fits the condition of this race quite well.......and the crafty trainer appears to have his new shooter ready to attempt a good run down the hill
3  Sid the Squid  very consistent when sprinting on the dirt......tries the grass for the 1st time with a decent pedigree to handle it........should fit nicely here if she does
6  Motutapu  running efforts on the dirt that are a couple of lengths less than she likely needs to produce in this spot to get to the circle of joy.......but her pedigree is quite good for the sod and she might be a "turf move up"
10 Â Space Cadet
race 7 Â Â average clarity
3  El Huerfano  owns multiple efforts that are much better than they appear in print........and he seldom gets much support at the windows........such a deal for a horse trained by Peter Miller
2  Silent Bird  hard to argue with 4 wins and a second in 5 lifetime starts......very impressive developing horse for Glatt but this race came up tough for a horse that his yet to compete around two turns.......still he has won two in a row at only one furlong less
4  Conquest Cobra  fits just fine when he brings his "A game".....might today as his last two route races run at SA are solid and should fit fine in this spot......we shall see

race 8 Â Â average clarity
6  Sizzlin Square  consistent colt seems likely to get claimed here so O'Neill and company have him very cranked up.....as in 6F in 111:1 at LA just 9 days ago.......that'l do
1  Derby Music  all 3 dirt sprints with the blinkers on fit decently in this spot.......Arroyo sticks around for the 6th straight time to see if he has another good dirt sprint effort left in him
2  Westmont  1 for 1 on the SA dirt and it was run at today's 6F distance.......and we get a significant upgrade........not out of this by any means
