Decent card to start the new week. By the way Saturday's Santa Anita race card will be posted on later than 5:30 a.m. pacific and it is one nice card. Not one race rated below average clarity

3 Easy Song   mare can really fly early and her a.m. work hints she is ready fresh off of the bench for Carla Gaines.......only race down the hill was the only time in her career that she had a tardy start yet she still race 3rd........should be tough with a good start
7 Allie's Love  quite the improvement 1st out following the Vallejo claim and the works since her lifetime top effort hint she is even sharper........1st on the sod but owns an adequate pedigree for it
2 Li'i Grazen  plenty of speed in this affair might soften things up enough up front to make this filly who should sit dead last look like she is flying late when in realty others are just tiring badly

3 Tiki Bar Logic  filly seemingly needs more than 4 weeks between starts and gets it..........that and she likely gets what she needs as in a loose lead........stepped up in last and won.......steps up again today and rightfully so off a strong effort/fig in her last
4 Gio's Lady  rider/trainer are 6 for their last 15 with a very positive return on your money..........filly is racing today off of a long layoff but she is training like she is ready and for a barn that can do no wrong of late
2 Resky Business  not sure how well this filly is doing especially for a low % trainer.......but.......the last time she ran turf to dirt she popped an effort that would crush this group

4 El Tovar  a ton for $20K if he has held form as his bread and butter is the SA hill where he is 6 for 16 with many efforts that are quite a bit better than par for this bottom $20K level on the turf
6 General Ike  seems quite sharp and although he has yet to win on the hill he has 2 2nd's and 2 3rd's in 5 races down it.....that and he should have better endurance at 6 1/2F today coming off a strong better than appears in sprint one mile grass race
1 Yes Yes Yes  Miller is very consistent and he is often at his most dangerous with the sprint-route-sprint maneuver which is the case today.....hard not to like

3 Factor of Two  likely shocked the barn for an O'Neill 1st timer to run so well and go off at 38 to 1.......that suggests she wasn't all that cranked for her debut.....likely is now
5 Reflect  Keith Desormeaux doesn't usually push his babies too hard in the morning but he is here......I doubt this one is going to run into shape.....as in he is meant and ready to roll at 1st asking
6 Katieleigh  just bought in April for $70K and might pay some dividends early as her last two gate works are solid especially considering she is only a two-year old filly

7 Canadian Game  consistent sort gets to run turf to dirt......he also gets to run with the blinkers on for the 1st time........believe O'Neill and company want him on or near the lead maybe to keep him from hanging as he has been doing
2 Trojan Spirit  solid better than it appears in print 1st ever at a route and 1st ever on conventional dirt....two reassuring works since.......highly likely to move forward again......rider upgrade.......should make a good account of himself in this his 3rd lifetime start
4 Julius  lookout if this Baffert colt's1st start was nothing more than a sprint tune-up to be full throttle for his 2nd start and 1st at a route.......continues to train like a happy healthy individual

7 Will Tell  no shot whatsoever as this gelding set a brutal pace at one mile on a dull main track which was especially dull on the inside where he was......noteworthy change in jocks today to Maldonado who has won his last 3 mounts for Cerin.......showed he can handle the hill in one race on it
4 Cats Blame  2 for 3 on the hill.......and his last appears to be nothing more than an endurance building turf route in a protected race to drop back to the claiming level that Chew grabbed him for.......recent bullet drill one week ago says all systems go for Chew and company......a hot barn of late
6 Kona Dreams  dangerous sort for Bill Spawr and company.......mostly because of the cut back in distance which is usually a good move in a race down the Santa Anita hill

6 Amada Rafaela  earned one of the largest Santucci figs (real and adjusted) for a three year old filly 1st timer in the past decade.......and considering her trainer is Baffert I highly doubt she regresses.......and by the way the blinkers were taken off of Baffert's Triple Crown contender Justify following a 9 1/2L win with them on......hmmm
5 Newport Breeze  awfully accomplished youngster not to be the top selection but this N Y invader who appears meant and ready fresh off of the bench has seemingly caught a monster in her return to the race wars
2 Kimberlea K  2 wins and a 2nd in three lifetime starts earning close to 100K but like our 2nd selection she has seemingly caught a monster in her return to the races following an extended hiatus from the game

4 Majestic Authority  very strong efforts in both lifetime starts which were run in late summer and the 2nd endeavor is disguised.......changes trainers for start number 3 and drops......that is often a winning move.....dangerous if she handles her 1st on the sod
3 Arrowsphere  filly appeared to need a break and the time off did quite a bit of good.......solid better than par effort in latest......cut back in distance turf route to race done the hill is usually a plus.....we shall find out at about 4 p.m. this afternoon
5 Cyrielle  very dangerous trainer in Peter Miller 1st time he places a MSW runner up for a tag......like the rider switch to Desormeaux for a turf race
