Los Alamitos for Sunday 15 July 2018
Final day of racing at Los Alamitos with a pick 6 carryover of $27,619 and a SHF carryover of $8,669 and of course with mandatory payouts. Southern Cal's most popular race meet which is of course Del Mar's summer meeting begins on Wednesday. We will be ready!

4 Romolina  Molly Pearson is (5 2 2 0) at the meeting and might get her 3rd win here with this 1ster who sure is training like he has plenty of ability including some early gas
2 Just Hit Play  not crazy about only 4 preparatory works showing for this 1ster......but on the other hand I like that the last two drills were out of the gate and spaced only 5 days apart
1  Big Impression  Becerra is an OK trainer but not at getting 1st timers ready to win at 1st asking......but the works are decent for this lowly level.......and as the saying goes "even a blind squirrel finds a nut now and then"

5 Fellow Citizen  Peter Miller MC50K 1st time starter sure appears meant and ready to roll at a high level in his debut into the wonderful world that is thoroughbred racing
2 Red Clem  so so maiden debut but I find it awfully interesting that Van Dyke shows up on closing day for only one mount and it is not for a Baffert horse.......dangerous sort from the Yakteen barn
1 Boisterous  this Miyadi 1st timer is the same situation as his 2 horse in the 1st race........"not crazy about only 4 preparatory works showing for this 1ster......but on the other hand I like that the last two drills were out of the gate and spaced only 5 days apart"

5 Thankful Every Day  good efforts at 5 1/2 furlongs at SA and 5F appears to be an even better fit.....only lifetime race at 5F was his lone race to date at Lrc and it might be his lifetime best numbeer.....and the strength of the effort is somewhat disguised
6 Comfirmed  only race run at Lrc fits OK.....solid 4 1/2F time at LA in latest.......McDaid took the 5 horse but Juan Sanchez will do
1 Fancy Terrace  consistent sort with some early speed will need a clever trip from the 1 post as inside speed has not been very good at this meet and at most of the Lrc meetings

2 Captain N. Barron  3 of her last 6 races fit fig wise and she seems likely to get a good trip.........hot apprentice rider (3 more wins yesterday) should on or near the lead in a race with little early speed......not a bad deal in a 5F affair
4 Coastal Eddy  tossed a clunker in his 2nd lifetime start.....debut was OK.......1st time gelding today......that might be the catalyst to rebound and maybe even show a little more than he displayed in his debut
6 Katzumoto  not much 1st out following the Treece claim which was somewhat predictable as he dropped his new shooter from MC30K to MC20K......still this is one weak group and even his dull race might be competitive

2 Bragging Rights  somewhat suspicious drop for this filly from a winning MC30K to a 10K conditioned claimer.....but.....why not to take advantage of a track that she sure took to in a big way
5 Tiger Mom drop makes sense especially with the tough (everybody loves to get to the winners circle) Del Mar meeting looming.......should be a major player
4 Southern Treasure  trainer does well with limited starters........five year old mare does well in abbreviated sprint races......last win came 3rd out following a layoff and that is also today's scenario

6 Colonel Power  solid MSW debut on the 4th of July and the cut back of 1/2 furlong today appears to be a plus.....we shall find out about 3:28 pm this afternoon
3 Jade Dee  only ran so so following an impressive work tab preparing for her MSW debut......Baffert baby deserves another shot
5 Shaken Memories  when last seen in mid September she ran a race that would make her the one to overcome..........but she needed a couple of races to get to that point.......ready fresh this time?........maybe

5 Towards the Light  exits a very fast heat in the 30 June version of this race........jockey likely had a few choices in mounts in this race and smartly landed here.....scratched yesterday for this spot
4 North County Guy  placed to win or "claim me please".......considering unorthodox trainer David Jacobson is the listed owner my guess he is placed to win
1 Chrisiscookin  obvious turf muscle him up tightener in last......drops multiple levels.......last two dirt sprints are better than par for today's level.......scratched out of the same race as our top pick did yesterday.......not out of this seemingly strong for the level race

6 News Karma  5 furlongs might not be her best distance......but.......she improved a ton 1st out following the Vallejo claim and she ran a solid race in her lone start at 6F........should be flying late with the red hot 7 lbs. bug boy in the irons
1 Fort Lewis Rivers  trainer won his only start at the Lrc meeting.....that and this gelding understands what it means to win races on the conventional dirt.......as he has been in the exacta 20 of 32 and 13 have been wins......very dangerous sort
4 Devils Informer likely needs slightly more than his latest.......tough to tell if the Devils Informer can provide it

6 E Bradley Cooper  low percentage trainer but he often is at his most dangerous 2nd out and 3rd out following a long layoff....and that is the case today
2 Raindance Rules  lifetime best conventional dirt race was the only time he raced on the "real" thing with the blinkers on when the surface was rated fast......no rain in the forecast
1 Grand Minister  believe this Miyadi 1st time starter is meant and ready to roll but he puts up a low percentage apprentice rider who has to cope with a tough post.......late rider change?.....wouldn't be the 1st time
