2 Madame Barbarian  Mullins is very strong at getting claiming horses to repeat winning efforts........and I like the confidence that he shows in his new mare as he steps her up a level for the 2nd straight time trying to make it a perfect 3 for 3 since he took over the training duties......Prat also remains up for a 3rd straight time
5 Crown Kitten  like the step up following a nice effort at the 16K level for this five year old mare who ran awfully well at 45 to 1..........that and we get a nice rider upgrade..........might be ignored at the windows
3Â Eternal Endeavor
4Â Red Livy
race 2Â Â average clarity
7 Clearly Gone  just won for 32K with low win % Blanc......races for 25K and this time with high win % Rispoli.......trainer has had a bang up meet with 2 wins and a 3rd from 6 starters.........nice to see for Sean McCarthy who was struggling prior to the Del meeting
5 Sugary  good history when Jones legs up Van Dyke as in 2 wins and a 2nd from 4 mounts........filly is 3 for 6 on the grass at Dmr and 4 for 10 at today's one mile turf distance........that and Jones means business as he enters for 22,500 to get 2 lbs off.........hard not to like
6Â Seaside Dancer
3Â Mongolian Window
2Â Lexington Grace
race 3Â Â average clarity
4 Bulletproof One  speed of the speed in this spot and this three year old filly is a perfect 4 for 4 racing at 5 1/2 furlongs......and maybe more importantly the only 5 1/2F effort on the dirt at Del Mar's was a powerful 6 1/4 length win.......also Gonzalez is a perfect 3 for 3 riding her
5 Quality Response  works are very impressive even by "Baffert standards" for this quality laid up filly........and she is proven fresh as she won her debut was Sept at Dmr in hand by 7 1/4 lengths.......dangerous for sure
3Â Lucky Peridot
race 4Â Â average clarity
10 Floral Essence Clifford Scott is having a very strong rebound year (albeit with limited starters) especially so for the owners of this two year old filly.........two year old filly had good works prior to her MSW debut as our 2nd selection and ran well earning a par like number.........she owns some route turf speed which should come in handy from her outside post.......trainer is solid in two categories that apply here: 2nd career race & 2nd route
5 Miss Ever Ready  impressive stretch run for this Cal-bred filly attempting to beat open company following her 1st on the lawn and a route......two nice maintenance drills since her 9 August race.......not out of the win picture by any means.........pun intended
1Â Miss Peaky Blinder
3Â Cielo d'Oro
9Â Consternation

11 Leprino  horse cost $700K in 2018 so for R Mandella to drop him to MC20K in his 5th start hints he has a big "hole" somewhere........but he ran his eyeballs (2nd by a nose with a gap of 7 1/2L to 3rd and 7L to 4th) out in a MC20K earning a number that fits for the MSW ranks.......is there anything left in him for his new trainer off the claim.......we shall find out
10 Time to Testify  colt's two lifetime MSW starts were turf routes run last winter and the efforts are about 3 or 4 lengths better than par for today's lower level.......pedigree for the dirt is OK.......ran decently fresh in her maiden debut......works are up to snuff........very dangerous

2Â Rossman
AE 13Â Sharp Speaker
6Â Tiger's Song
race 6Â Â average clarity
2 Greg's Diva  exits a very key strong 5F turf race albeit way back in Oct of 2019........and she won her only 5F turf race at Dmr..........works hint she is ready to roll as does the fact that Prat rides and the only time he has been aboard her it led to her MSW breaking win......easy to like this youngster
8 Velvet Queen  fired her lifetime best in her latest and the strength of the effort is disguised by setting at brutal 1st quarter and doing it on a dead rail in a one mile dirt race.......amazingly strong run to hang on for 2nd.......big a.m. work since.......she can fly on the turf as well so a 5F sprint grass race seems doable
9Â Devil's Dance
5Â Woke Up Access
1Â Swirling
race 7Â Â average clarity
1 Parnelli  prolonged work tab for this John Shirreffs ywo year old MSW 1st time starter and about of a third of the 11 works showing are strong enough to suggest this colt has some talent........trainer often doesn't push them hard so this $500K purchase might be ready to returns some dividends this afternoon
4 Risk and Reward  big work tab for this Bob Baffert two year old 1st time starter......what's new.......only reason he is not placed as our top choice is because this colt's pedigree is not fabulous like so many Baffert 1st timers are
3Â Labor Union
8Â Superman Shaq
6Â Tenor
race 8Â Â above average clarity
2 Madone  very impressive MSW one mile turf debut for this Callaghan filly who ran a fig that is better than par for today's Stakes level...........Prat wisely stays put and gets a great post to work with........easy to put as top selection
6 Canooding  stout MSW debut sprinting on the grass closing fast to win rather easily despite getting shuffled back in a race with some soft fractions.......good pedigree for a one mile grass race........dangerous sort
11Â Ivy League
7Â Nimbostratus
3Â Inner Beauty
race 9Â Â average clarity
6 Forest Caraway  impressive wide trip win to graduate at 1st asking earning an adjusted for trip and some pace Santucci fig that is better than par for today's Grade 1 level........strong near bullet 5F work since hinting this filly has remained sharp
5 Illumination  filly already has shown that she has the best early speed in this field and today Baffert puts the blinkers on her........she can get loose in this spot and maybe never get caught
4Â Princess Noor
race 10Â Â average clarity
2 California Kook  nearly won at Grade 1 at Del Mar 15 days ago and it also was run at 9F on the turf.........gets a turf rider upgrade and 3 lbs less to carry..........he has now raced at 9F on the sod twice and they are his two best lifetime efforts.........leading trainer at the helm.........what's not to like
4 Pixelate  trainer Michael Stidham knows how to ship and win and he coax's leading turf rider Umberto Rispoli and his stout agent to accept the mount.........colt shows up every time never missing the board in all 9 turf races
12Â K P All Systems Go
8Â Kiss Today Goodbye
11Â Margot's Boy
race 11Â Â average clarity
4 Lil Nas  new sire has been decent so far and mom has tossed 3 winners from 3 starters.......works are good for a Cal-bred two year old........good enough to draw the attention of Flavien Prat and his agent
10 Big Flame  nice MSW debut earned a par like fig for the given level.......and his early speed was decent for two year Cal-bred racing in early August.......Cedillo best use it from his outer-most post draw
9Â Big Story
8Â Charge Cash
2Â Alpine Thunder
