race 1    average clarity

5  Hoop Dream  nice move forward in this fellow's latest which was the 19 Feb version of this race..........J J Hernandez remains up and the three times he has been aboard this Bernstein runner it has led to 3 of his 4 best races to date......trainer has had a decent 2020/21 albeit with limited starters

2  Talking   poor trip in latest racing way too wide........he did well to still be able to finish 4th in the 19 Feb version of this race.....better post today and with 3 foes faster (early) and the other 3 combatants slower (early) it should give this Falcone gelding a great chance to save ground on turn one.......nice reassuring preparatory work......Gonzalez will be out to make amends

7  Liar Liar

1  Witch's Vow

race 2    average clarity

3  Bandeena   SCRACTHED OUT OF THE RACE  nice awakening 1st time ever racing in a two turn affair........and she ran quite the z pattern in the race as in up close early then falling back and coming on in the stretch........showed she can handle older horses in her last and likely will have more endurance coming into her 2nd lifetime start and again with only 111 lbs on her back

5  Our Bonnie Lass   lost to our top choice in her last but she takes the blinkers off for the 1st time in her career and with a decent recent work put in that hint it improved her........should be in the mix from the get go once again.......hard not to like

4  Watch the Fed

race 3    average clarity

3  Big Clare   both lifetime races are better than par Santucci figs and both are also better than they appears in print......turf sprint-turf sprint-turf route maneuver today and for a filly with a pedigree that suggests she will handle the 8F........hot grass trainer and hot grass rider......should be tough

1  Mensa On Tap   big race 3 back which was this girl's 3rd lifetime start......so third out after a break today seems interesting........filly has shown she can finish her 8F grass races well........most in here have something to prove as far as handling a turf route is concerned.......rider is (at least) 0 for 85 on the sod and counting but even a blind squirrel finds a nut now and then

2  Warrior Lady

race 4    average clarity

1  Miss Bigly   2 for 2 on a fast track dirt and one of the wins came turf to dirt.......turf in latest.......rider upgrade........hot trainer in D'Amato......drops in class and yet can't be claimed........such a deal

4  Paige Runner   loves contact to the front end of things and she should get that here........4 for 5 since the fronts were put on........good speed jock up in Maldonado stays put for a fifth straight race on this five year old mare......sharp bullet 5F drill at LA.........hard not to like

3  Midnight Jamboree

race 5    above average clarity

4  Equilove   three year old filly from Ireland was on the improve last fall overseas as a two year old prior to being laid up.......that and her new trainer Phil D'Amato has her working very well hinting her 1st out under his guidance is going to be a strong one........and supporting that notion is high in demand Flavien Prat and his agent want the mount

3  Lady Macarena   trainer isn't much with 1st time starters so expecting more from this Michael McCarthy three year old filly this afternoon and her debut was decent........Rispoli sticks around.......love watching the Rispoli/Pratt turf stretch battles which just might happen in this 6 1/2 furlong grass affair

7  Cielo d'Oro

6  Flaps Up

race 6    average clarity

4  Lucky Long Legs   strong race put in last year turf to dirt.......turf race in last off of a one year hiatus and it was run in a protected race where this filly went off at 50 to 1 in an obvious gimme/tightener.......drops precipitously for today's endeavor.......sharp works since her turf tightener hints the effort muscled her up as intended......bug girl likely will go to the front end of things and stay clear of much trouble

3  Gotta Be Lucky   believe the lead will go to our top choice or this Carla Gaines five year old mare......she isn't much fig wise but this sure seems like a good spot for anyone own can show some early speed

6  Secret Square

race 7    average clarity

2  Desmond Doss  really like when a given runner shows not only better final time figs but also better early speed.....that is the case for this Miyadi five year old since he switched to dirt racing.......Cedillo wisely stays put for a 4th straight race

1  Jamming Eddie   seems like a good claim by Andrew Lerner and company of a five year old gelding who if the young trainer can improve a little should fit just fine in this Cal-bred $100K Stakes race......and of course it is a very good sign that Prat rides thru the claim

7  Brandothebartender

5  Margot's Boy

race 8    average clarity

9  Stir the Pot   big race two back and the strength of the effort is disguised by setting some fast fractions on an inside that was a little dull.......not much in his next start.......but he just put in his best work in quite some time......believe he rebounds today

7  El Centenario  last at GG was a gimme to drop down to the bottom MC level with less threat of being claimed and go go go go........question is how well will he handle the conventional dirt in his 1st run on it.......Prat and his agent think he will

6  Lucky Ryan Seven

3  Salah

2  Betito

race 9    below average clarity

1  Sly   significant rider upgrade........in for $30K so gets 4 lbs off.......lifetime best was run two back at today's 9F turf distance.......Metz five year old should get a nice ground saving mid pack trip at least thru turn one and that is more than 1/2 the battle......should be a nice number

8  Honos Man   like our top choice this gelding is in for $30K to get 4 lbs off.......Prat stays put......five year old seems at his best at today's 9F turf distance......should come flying late

9  M Town Gem

3  Boru

6  Seeking Refuge
