Santa Anita for Saturday 19 June 2021
Time constraints for the final 3 race cards at SA mostly because of water in my basement (brutal cleaning up especially with a sore throat and cold) and more races than I anticipated (11 every day) mean comments for our top choice only. Just a reminder that I never shortchange the time I put in handicapping.
Only 2 ML favorites on top today and 4 of them are 8 to 1 or higher.
Best of luck as always!

(14 AE Unusual Ride has a shot if she draws in from the AE list)
1 Youonlylivetwice  MSW 1st timer from the Glatt barn sure is training as if she has talent and she should be fit as she hasn't missed a beat in the morning dating back to at least 26 March........good pedigree for the sod.......and over the last 6 weeks or so when Glatt legs up Abel Cedillo his stock has for the most part been very "live"
8Â Lena's Big Day
4Â Queen of Pompeii
12Â Chao Mar
7Â Sky On Ice
race 2Â Â average clarity
5 Eda  two year old filly was just bought in March for a $550K so Baffert and company got a good looking at what they were getting..........last 3 preparatory works were out of the gate......that signals Baffert means business with his two year old filly in her MSW debut.......that and Cedillo sure makes the most of his rides given to him from Mr. Baffert
4Â Censorship
2Â Square Fun
6Â Ko Olina
race 3Â Â average clarity
7 Chasin Munny  race lacks early gas and this Mark Glatt four year old colt appears to have the most.......last race was a slight regression.......race two back his only grass race at 6 1/2 furlongs fits well here and the fact Prat is up for the 1st time suggests this fellow will rebound to it
1Â Kanderel
2Â Tatters to Riches
4Â Texas Wedge
race 4Â Â average clarity
4 Brutto  bad trip in his 2nd lifetime start somewhat disguises a move forward of about 4 lengths......and his Santucci fig earned was 2L better than par for the MSW level at SA........Baffert's colt should be in the mix from the get go and tough this afternoon if of course he gets a better trip
1Â Mayhem and Choas
2Â Trainer Please
7Â Tulsa Tornado
race 5Â Â below average clarity
3 Liam's Love  poor debut way back in on 3 April mostly because horrid beginning against a very talented field.......been away since but working awfully well for Shirreffs runner as he usually doesn't push them hard in the a.m.........good pedigree for a route race and for the sod.......and look who accepts the mount - Mr. Prat.......should be a price even with SA's top gun up
6Â Subconscious
4Â Offlee Naughty
10Â Lincoln Hawk
8Â Circumvent
12Â Eagle Chief
race 6Â Â below average clarity
2 Bold Endeavor  best credentials in the race and he likes to run wide but how wide can one be with only 3 foes in the race......like the switch to J J Hernandez as he has won his last 3 mounts riding for Mark Glatt
3Â Synthesis
race 7Â Â average clarity
3 Uncle Addouma  like the sprint-sprint-route scenario and also the stat for Michael McCarthy 3rd out following a layoff as in 26% win........both grass sprints were not the best of trips........jock upgrade especially for a turf race.........race lacks speed and he has a little.......jock should have little trouble sitting close up on the inside at least thru turn one......and that is more than 1/2 the battle
11Â Constitutionaffair
5Â Fuente
1Â Adare
9Â Ready Soul
race 8Â Â average clarity
6 Ginobili  new addition to the S Cal jockey colony Joe Bravo has a shot at his 1st win and at a price.......turf gimme off of the long layoff in last for this Baltas four year to muscle up (works since the turf race are dynamite) and go go go this afternoon on the dirt........only race on the SA dirt was an off the charts fig/effort that if repeated would crush today's field
4Â Palace Coup
1Â Howbeit
5Â Whisky My God
7Â Ka'nah
race 9Â Â average clarity
4 Big Talker  on the improve with each start last winter.........racing 2nd out following a layoff today in a race that likely was a stepping stone for today.......so.......his likelihood of moving forward sure appears to be in the cards.........good post and Rispoli stays up.......this gelding is a very strong finisher as is his jock.......9F is a very good fit and won't be for many in this affair
2Â None Above the Law
7Â Jimmy Blue Jeans
3Â Ferrariano
1Â Found My Ball
race 10Â Â average clarity
5 I'm So Anna  Pratt lands on a N Cal invader who has been at her most impressive in two turn races on the main track (7 2 2 2)........and she just popped her lifetime best on the AW at GG and did so setting a sizzling set of fractions........8 weeks off to recovery from the effort and the fact Pratt and his agent want the mount supports the notion
6Â Eddie's New Drama
3Â Fi Fi Pharoah
1Â Pawnee
8Â Omg It's Jessica
race 11Â Â average clarity
2 Red King  talk about having the ability to run all day long.......seven year old not only won the 2020 version of this 14 furlong affair but he won it by 4 1/4 lengths and with today's jock Rispoli aboard......that race was run off of 28 days rest off of a 3 month break......21 days since his latest which was run following a 2 1/2 month break.......hmmm
