2 Constitutionaffair very consistent at today's one mile grass distance (7 4 2 0) and (5 1 1 0) racing at other turf distances.........five year old should get a nice stalking trip (behind the 7 horse) just like he did two races back at one claiming level lower.........trainer has quietly had a solid SA meeting........hard not to like this Glatt gelding
1 Shadow Sphinx 6 for 11 at Santa Anita on the grass and (8 4 1 2) overall on the grass when racing at today's one mile distance........nice turf win at SA in the nine furlong version of this OC 50000n1x grass race 4 weeks ago.......2 reassuring works since.......Mulhall is often at her best with runners making their 3rd start following a long layoff and that is today's scenario

5 Becca Taylor main contenders (our 2nd and 3rd selections) are mostly one dimensional need the lead types so far to date but this ultra consistent filly (8 7 1 0) has shown she can win on the lead or off of the pace......and she gets the meets "top gun" aboard for the 1st time
4 Samurai Charm 5 for 7 lifetime is impressive and she has won once without having the early lead.......and the race was a 5 1/2F sprint.......away from the game for 8 months but she is training as if Alvarado has her ready fresh off of the bench.......dangerous sort

1 Aloha Kitten five year old mare seems best racing at SA at today's one mile turf distance as in 2 wins and a 3rd in 5 races and the 3rd was versus tougher where she lost the win by only a neck and with a very low % jock up.......mare will likely be in the mix from the get go
2 Bestrella not much in her latest race but she was very "dead" on the board......big effort 2 races back and it was at today's level........2nd out after the claim by Knapp today and he is 5 for his last 22 with the move........dangerous sort

1 Reign of Speed last two drills for this Ryan Hanson two year old MSW 1st time starter suggest his 2021 $5K sales price might be quite the steal.......and maybe not just for the connections but the bettors too as he is 8 to 1 in the ML
2 Fun Money seems like quite the pick up from CD of a filly who ran 3rd in the goo at CD and the race was only 9 days ago.......she should fit well vs. Cal-bred boys if she can handle the rigors of shipping and racing with only 9 days rest.....not easy on a youngster

2 Carroll Girl believe this three year old filly will get a dream trip stalking the five horse who obviously I have reasons to believe will not hold together well.......trainer is doing a nice job with the runners he has taken over for Richard Baltas while Baltas awaits reinstatement
3 Talented Lady three year old filly appears to want to run all day long so racing at 9F should help her chances of getting up in time.......low percent turf rider in Cedillo up but he looked decent riding this filly in his last race

7 Midnight Lightning very bad trip in his MSW debut and still beat 3 of five foes.......and Steve Knapp is night and day better with 2nd time starters than 1st.......nice reassuring 3F bullet gate work since his 14 May debut
1 Hot Memories decant MSW debut for this gelding and he sure acts as if another 1/16 to cover will aid his chances..........and once again he gets in at 111 lbs with decent bug girl Ellingwood staying put.

5 War At Sea Mike Smith shows up for only one mount on a Saturday and I can see why as this three year old colt vaulted forward in his last firing a Santucci fig that is 3L better than par for today's level.......that race was one mile and today's is 1 1/8 but his pedigree says the longer the better
3 Balnikhov big Grade 2 2nd at CD in his latest but the course should have been rated good turf and his SA race on true firm turf is solid but not as good.......hard to split top two but if the 5 moves forward again he will be tough

4 Warren's Show Biz fell backwards in her latest but if she rebounds to her race two back she will but tough today especially with the meets top gun in J J Hernandez staying put
6 Seven Exes not much in 3 races last year as a two year old but her a.m. work hints O'Neill has figured her out.......and take note that she was bet hard in her debut.......she also gets Lasix for the 1st time......drop down in maiden claiming obviously helps as well

5 One More Bid monster effort in his 2nd lifetime start off of 22 days rest......and the effort is disguised by a slightly tardy start and a wide trip up close to a solid set of fractions........then he got 6 weeks off and ran so so like his MSW debut........21 days since his 3rd start......blinkers go on to help him adjust to a sprint race........turf is the ? mark
7 Vancougar showed plenty of life in his MSW debut and with no support at the windows hinting it was nothing more than a sprint tune-up to muscle up and be more than ready for today's 2nd start.......and trainer Jeff Mullins is night and day better with 2nd time starters than 1st
